WVCC Scholarship

This scholarship is a $1,500 award given to a college bound senior.

• Must live in the Warwick Valley (Town of Warwick, Town of Vernon, Village of Greenwood lake, village of Florida or Village of Warwick).
• Be a senior in good standing at the time of application.
• Be accepted to attend a full-time accredited college, university, or fine arts school.
• Plan to pursue a career in business. Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Submit the application

• Submit two letters of recommendation from either a teacher, advisor, or local business person (cannot be a relative).
• A copy of your acceptance letter from the institution you plan to attend.
• Provide a typed essay no more than 500 words explaining why the Warwick valley? What drives you to return here and use your business knowledge to invest in to our community? What is something you see as missing here and why would it be an investment to the community as a whole? What about your idea would further drive Warwick forward?

Winning applicants agree to receive their rewards as guests of the chamber at the Awards Night Presentation at their school. In addition, they will also keep the WVCC appraised of their progress after completing their first year.

This scholarship is a $1,500 award given to a student on a non-traditional 4-year college track who wants to build a business or already has an established business in Warwick.

• Must live in the Warwick Valley (Town of Warwick, Town of Vernon, Village of Greenwood lake, village of Florida or Village of Warwick).
• Be a senior in good standing at the time of application.
• Pursing a non-traditional track by either going to a vocational or trade school or be building a business in the Warwick Valley.

Submit the application:

• Submit two letters of recommendation from either a teacher, advisor, or local business person (cannot be a relative).
• A description of your next steps, if you are going to be at a vocational school or will be building tour business.
• Provide a typed essay no more than 500 words explaining why the Warwick valley? What drives you to start your business here and to use your business knowledge to invest in to our community? What is something you see as missing here and why would it be an investment to the community as a whole? What about your idea would further drive Warwick forward?
